Spear Fishing on the Mendocino Coastline

Okay, so these two guys just redefined cool.

Okay, its Saturday morning, the water is freezing, the equipment is significant and I wont even begin to talk about the skills, brevity, patience and endurance it takes to do something like this. These two though, they don't care - they live for it. I mean common guys, there are easier ways to catch fish!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to  join them on their weekly diving trip. It isn't abalone season yet, but after only a few short hours in the water, these two brought home two belts full of rock fish and lingcod and a variety of other tasty ocean treats like wild sea scallops and crab.
